Guitar Hero Games Are Very Popular For Nintendo Wii

Music has always been an important part of who we are regardless of what background you come from. There are many genres of music and they tend to cross over into just about anything we do. Most video games have music to them and we tend to either enjoy it or tune it out after a while. The concept behind the Guitar Hero games though is to become part of it.

With these particular games you get to play songs from some of your favorite bands. You get points for playing them as good as you can. Even if you have never picked up a real guitar to play before you can have a great time with it. There are colors on the neck of the guitar that you use for guidance. You can use the controller for the Wii to play it but there isn’t that same effect that you will get if you buy the guitar to play it.

The guitar for the Nintendo Wii though is an accessory you will need to buy separately. In most instances you can save money if you buy the guitar and the game together as a combination package. There are guitars you plug into the gaming console as well as wireless models. You can play alone or against someone else too. So you may want to invest in more than one guitar.

There are different versions of Guitar Hero out there to choose from. The main differences are the songs that are offered. You may like a particular type of music such as the 80’s which is offered. For many individuals in their 30’s who really enjoyed the hair band days this particular game is perfect. For a few minutes they can let go of reality and make their dreams of being a rock star come true.

People of all ages really love to play the various Guitar Hero games on their Nintendo Wii. You can choose your skill level which makes it easier to learn the basics. You can start out with the easy songs and then move forward to those that are more challenging for you. It is going to take a while to get to that stage though unless you already know how to play a guitar.

While you will really have a great deal of fun playing Guitar Hero on the Wii, you will also learn a new sense of appreciation for those who do it professionally. They may appear to have the easy life and to have everything but they have also worked very hard to learn to play the way they do.

Those who really like the Guitar Hero games for the Nintendo Wii are in for quite a treat. In October of 2008 the World Tour version will be released. It allows up to four people to play the guitar at a time. Up to eight people can play the drums if you buy that particular accessory as well. You can expect a new look with the guitar too.

It will appear to be more like what a rock star would use up there on the stage. Of course the other models of guitars that are already out there will be compatible. For the game and the new guitar you should anticipate a price of about $200.

Three Ways to Fix Your Broken XBox 360

If you have encountered the Red Ring of Death error on your XBox 360 don’t feel left out. Plenty of XBox 360 owners have had to endure that pit in the stomach after switching on their consoles and seeing those three red rings of doom.

The problem is, your game console has overheated around the two major chips, the CPU and the GPU. This has caused the solder connecting one or more of the pins to the circuit board to melt and flow away from the pins, severing the circuit. It’s a pretty serious problem and can’t be fixed by turning your XBox 360 off and on, or by waiting.

Fortunately for you, there are a lot of people out there who have worked out how to repair this particular XBox 360 problem by themselves. Some of them have even gone to the effort of recording their methods and producing Do-It-Yourself repair guides for the XBox 360.

Currently, there are three methods that you can use to fix your console aside from sending it back to Microsoft for repair.

The Towel Method. This is pretty simple. You wrap your XBox in a towel, turn it on, and let it run for a while. You then turn it off and let it cool down for a few hours. Hopefully, the problem has been fixed.

The 3 Red Light Fix Method. You open up your XBox 360 and remove the motherboard. After removing the heatsink components and making some simple adjustments to them, you selectively heat the motherboard up with a heat gun or hair dryer. After replacing the components and reassembling the console, you plug it in and turn it on. This is a safer and more effective repair than the Towel Method.

The Professional Method. Like the 3 Red Light Fix Method, you open up your XBox 360 and remove the components. However, this method requires that you have a reasonable skill level and some training in repairing electronics. Using appropriate tools like a multimeter and soldering iron, you trace the problem and fix it directly. This is the most effective repair method.

Of these three methods, the Towel Method should not be attempted. It has the very real potential of causing catastrophic damage to your XBox. Overheating is bad for components. That’s why there are heatsinks on the chips in the first place. They are there to prevent heat damage.

The Professional Method is the one most likely to guarantee results. By using it, you are tracking down the problem to its source. Where the Towel Method is like using a nuke to attack a single target, the Professional Method is like a sniper. Nice and precise.

Most of us, however, do not have the training and experience necessary to attempt the kind of repairs that the Professional Method uses. The 3 Red Light Fix method on the other hand can be performed by anyone who can use a screwdriver to pull apart their XBox. That doesn’t mean that care is not required. This is a tricky process and the repairer will need to know what they are doing. For this it’s quite necessary to use a repair guide, unless you already know exactly what you are doing.

If you don’t know how to proceed, the best thing is to read through the repair guide several times. Then check out the videos and watch the demonstration carefully. Once you know what is going on, then it’s time to DIY repair your XBox 360.

How Does The EVE Online Market Work?

EVE Online was the first MMORPG to attempt to create a “closed” economy; the closed economy was eventually dismantled, because it couldn’t accommodate new players cleanly or easily, and favored established characters a bit too much. However, most of the tools used to support the closed economy still remain and one of the major ones is the Market, which acts like a “stock ticker” on commodities throughout EVE Online’s entire community, giving commodity prices and demands for same throughout the entire game.

This market, more than anything else, is what replaces the need to do missions. There is always demand for commodities, the demand for the commodities is reflected in the EVE Online market, and there are always risk/reward trade offs.

The way these Markets work, a given node (either player character driven or computer driven) will post a price for a given commodity. If you produce that commodity, you can attempt to be the first shipment there to get the price – as multiple instances of the same commodity come in, the price drops, with factors contingent on how short the route is between the demand and the supply, and how risky the route is – if you have to route through a couple of zero zero systems (where there is no enforcement of law by the game) you run the risk of being hit by pirates run by other players – this is EVE’s version of Player versus Player combat, and it runs in graduated zones from 0.0 to 1.0 (where 1.0 means that it’s almost impossible for player on player action to begin.)

Beyond the straightforward market mechanic here, EVE Online markets also support player to player contracts for commodities and work agreements. You start out able to have one outstanding contract; each skill level of the Contracting skill adds three to the total, with a maximum of 16 for skill level 5. An outstanding Contract on the Market means you’re available to take on the job. Contracts players (and player corporations) can put on the market include auctions, item exchange, loans and courier duty. Corporation Contracts allow corporations (the EVE equivalent of guilds on other games) to put work offers out for members and non members (and other corporations) to meet, allowing the resource exploitation and manufacturing model to extend in ways that add significant play depth.

To create a contract with the EVE Online market tools, you’ll need to put up 100,000 ISK as a deposit to put up a public contract; this is also used to pay for the work done.

Because First aid allows you to heal yourself, a very good thing in WoW, its a really great secondary profession to train in. The following WoW First Aid guide will introduce you to first aid as a profession and give you some tips as well.

Its ability to reduce a players down time make first aid great for almost any class even healers. This profession will also make you a great ally in any group because you’ll be able to heal others. Bandages are used by those who use First Aid to heal. These bandages are created using different cloths that you train for as you level the profession. Higher level and quality cloths have more healing power. I won’t get into making and using bandages in this WoW first aid guide. The following list gives you the various cloth’s healing power and skill level. Heavy bandages, as you’ll soon see, have more healing ability.

Linen: Starting skill level, with a 66 Healing power and (114 healing power for Heavy, meaning heavy bandages) over 6 sec
Wool: Find a trainer once you’re at level 115, Healing power is 161 (301 for Heavy) over 7 seconds.
Silk: You’ll need to seek out a trainer at level 150, Healing power is 400 (640 Heavy) over 8 seconds.
Mageweave: Learn this from a trainer at level 210, Healing power is 800 (1104 Heavy) over 8 seconds.
Runecloth: You’ll need a trainer for this at level 260, Healing power is 1360 (2000 Heavy) over 8 seconds.
Netherweave: For this cloth you’ll need to learn it from a book at skill 330, Healing power is 2800 (3400 Heavy) over 8 seconds.
Frostweave: You’ll need to train with a Grand Master Trainer at skill level 350, healing power is 4800 (5800 Heavy) over 8 seconds.

Making Heavy bandages require an extra piece of cloth and will have stronger healing power than the regular bandages. To find the books I mention for training you can look either in the wild or buy them in various locations. Now in the WoW first aid guide I’ll mention some things about leveling. One book you’ll need for leveling through skill levels 125-225 is the “Under Wraps” book. It costs 1 gold to buy and you can find it in Stromgarde Ruins or buy it from Deneb Walker if you’re Alliance. For Horde players, it can also be bought from Balai Lok’Wein in Brakenwall Village, Dustwallow Marsh.

In order to level 225 to 300 you’ll need to complete a special quest. You’ll need at least to have leveled to level 35 and skill 225 to do this quest. For the quest, Alliance faction should seek out Doctor Gustaf Van Howzen in Theramore Isle. If your Horde then find Doctor Gregory Victor in Hammerfall located in the Arathi Highlands.

To become a Master in First Aid, skill 300-375, you’ll need another book. Alliance can find it at the Temple of Telhamat, and Horde can find it at Falcon Watch. You can also get the Netherweave book here.

There’re a few last things Id like to mention to end this WoW first aid guide. Healing can’t take place unless you’re not taking damage and are standing completely still. Although healing stops when attacked or moving, you keep what ever healing has already occured. Finally, you won’t be able to inflict any damage on your enemies while you’re healing. Give yourself some time to heal by momentarily stunning your enemy. Use Heavy bandages to do this best.

World of Warcraft Herbalism Guide

Herbalism like other gathering professions is a great method for making gold. Herbalism goes well with either Alchemy or Inscription. The following WoW Herbalism Guide will give you a brief introduction to the profession of Herbalism.

Travel to one of the large cities in order to find a Herbalism trainer. For some help in finding a trainer ask one of the guards. The Alchemy trainer is often near the Herbalism trainer so you can easily train for both if you wanted.

To become a Master you’ll need a trainer from Hellfire Peninsula. I won’t get into Grand Master level in this WoW Herbalism guide, but they involve the upper levels of 375-450. But I will mention that Alliance faction can train in either Valgarde or Valiance Keep. Horde characters can find a trainer in Vengeance Landing also in Howling Fjord.

The great thing is that once you’ve gotten training you won’t need anything else, other than a bag with lots of space to carry things you gather. You can have a special Herbalism bag made for you by a tailor. Herbs and plants can be anywhere including caves and under water so keep a keen eye out for them. Don’t worry about getting too many herbs since you can alway sell them in the Auction House. With “Find Herb” activated, the yellow dots on your map will indicate those plants that can be gathered.

Once you walk up to a herb and the cursor becomes active its ready to be gathered. If it’s not possible to pick a plant, chances are that it’s currently beyond your skill level. The plant and herbs that require higher skill level are usually in higer zones while those that require less skill are in lower areas. By the way you can also get herbs through instances, killing beasts or treasure chests.

The various color codes are important to understand so I’ll talk a little about them. Hovering over a plant with the mouse will give you this color code, the following list will tell you what they mean.

Red- You don’t have the needed skill level to pick it yet.
Orange- Pick it, it’ll almost certainly increase your Herbalism level.
Yellow- Moderate chance of increasing your skill level.
Green- Low chance for any benefit to you skill level.
Gray- These plant won’t benefit your skill.

As you level to 450, which is beyond this WoW Herbalism guide, you’ll gain “Lifeblood”, which will give you the ability to heal yourself by absorbing energy and nutrients from the Earth.
