I;ll use fake names for this…I used to hang around with a group of about six girls. Slowly we drifted apart due to the fact the one girl who I’ll call Jessica (who tended to lead the others) decided to **** a guy mate of mine called tom. He used to be friends with the lot of them, but Jessica isolated him, turned the rest of the girls against him, bitched about him and convinced people to **** him. Her and another girl sent him horrible messages online, on bebo and msn, and texts, and threatened to punch him. She was extremly popular and quite manipulative, she’d done this sort of thing to two other girls and made them suicidal and i knew she didnt like me for hanging around with him but i did anyway.

Then she made friends with Tom again, but by this time me and her and the other girls rarely spoke. We were still friendly towards each other but i knew they spoke about me when i wasn’t around. They all came extremely close with Tom again and I grew slightly jealous tbh.

Then, a couple months back, Jessica turned on me. She sent me horrible messages on MSN and bebo, sent me horrible texts and bitched about me. It had come out of nowhere, i had done nothing to her at all. However, when she stated having a go at me on MSN i ended up having a go back. The other girls were still friendly to me, but i knew they gossiped about me. On Christmas eve she told me she wanted me to die. I tried not to let her ruin my christmas, but it was hard.

Then, about a month later, things were getting worse. The other girls turned on me, especially Jessica’s two closest friends Louise and Maria. They cornered me on my way to form, and asked me if i’d spoken about them behind their backs (which i hadn’t). Tbh i was too anxious to argue with them, i ended up running home and skipping the last lesson.

Things got worse since then. They turned close friends of mine against me, they threatened me and had a go at me on the internet so i blocked them, but they took the mick out of me in lessons, uplugging my computer in IT, yelling things out in religious and form, kicking me under the desk etc. I laughed and pretended i didnt care but it was humiliating. At one point it got so bad I was followed around town by them, being called fat and ugly. My self esteem was at an all time low, i became antisocial and depressed, i wouldnt admit it at the time but i was. At one point I was told to go commit ******* because I was worthless. She told people she wanted me to die.

Then, someone told my friend Tom they’d seen people making a book about reasons to **** me. Tom told my bestfriend about what had been happening because i hadn’t told her any of it. They got a couple of my other friends to go and report the girls for bullying me.

Weirdly, for the first few days the people who reported them got treated badly, but after about 3 days were automatically forgiven. I made friends again with one of the girls, my confidence came back and i turned back to my normal, happy self.

However I have been affected by what has happened. I know I have changed, i cannot trust people, I find it harder to make friends, Im not as confident etc. And now Jessica wants to make friends with me again. However, her newest victim is a boy who I’ll call Drake. She has been treating him worse than me and I know she’ll never change

Tom is suggesting I forgive her, but I have principles. I don’t want to let her get away with what she’s done to me, like she gets away with what she’s done to other people. Everyone has always forgiven her.

Am I being stupid or should I forgive her?
