If you are a World of Warcraft Druid, you will have the ability to to transform into a Bear. This skill was given to you at level ten, after which, you received a letter from your Druid Trainer, instructing you to speak with him at level fourteen for another quest, where you will obtain the “Cure Poison” skill. It is this quest that we are now going to look at,

Once again you will be instructed to go and see Dendrite Starblazer in Nighthaven, but at least this time, you’ll have your Teleport spell to get you there. He will tell you that there is a land suffering from the effects of a mysterious poison, you’ll be given a vial to collect some water from it’s source, which may hold the key to solving this mystery.

If you are a Night Elf Druid, you will have to go to a cave, called the Cliffspring Falls, north east of Auberdine.The cave entrance is guarded by Naga warriors, but once you have fought them off, you must use the vial to take a sample from the water falling from the cave’s entrance. This must be taken back to Alanndarian Nightsong in Auberdine.

She will send you off to gather two special ingredients, which will turn your water sample into an antidote, which will cure the sick Deers throughout Darkshore. These ingredients are twelve Lunar Fungi and five Earthroots. The former can be found in cave where you fought Lunaclaw in your Bear quest and in nearby caves populated by Moonkins. The latter are found in the nearby ruins of Ameth’aran, or outside Darnassus.

To get Earthroots, you really need Herbalism as your profession, if you have, then well and good. If not, then you have two options, you can either ask people if you can buy them from them, or go to the Auction House. Thanks to patch 1.9, you’ll find an Auction House in Darnassus, and if your lucks in, you’ll find some Earthroots to bid for. You may even be able to use the buy out button and get them immediately.

If you are unable to get the five Earthroots at the Auction House, your last resort is to south of Dolnaar and kill Timberlings, every so often they will drop them.

Once you have your two special ingredients, return to Alanndarian Nightsong in Auberdine, where she will make the cure for the sick Deers. You will have enough antidote for ten doses and once you have healed your ten deers, return once more to Dentrite in Nighthaven, where you’ll be congratulated and sent to Mathrengyl Bearwalker, who will give you the “Cure Poison” skilll.

Tauren Druids in the meantime, will also have been asked to get a water sample, which is believed to be corrupted. This time, it is Gazelle who are affected, by water from the foul mountain top of Dreadmist Peak. As you go up the mountain, watch out for Orcs of the Burning Blade, who will attack you on sight.At the very top, you will see four Orcs around a pool of bubbling water. Once you’ve disposed of them, use the vial and get your sample, but be warned, you’ll be attacked again, by two Burning Blade toxicologists.
Get out of there as fast as you can, and get back to Tonga Runetotem at the Crossroads.

Here, you will be sent off to find two special ingredients, five Earthroots and five Kodo Horns.The latter are easy to get, just look to see if there are any Kodos on the oasis nearby, kill them and remove their horns.

Once again, Earthroots are more difficult, if Herbalism isn’t your profession. You’ll have to try to buy them ,or go to the Auction House in Orgrimmar.

When you have all your ingredients, go back to Tonga at the Crossroads again, where they will be made into a salve to cure ten gazelle. you must travel to north of the Barrens, cure the ten Gazelle, then return and speak to Dendrite in Nighthaven. After being congratulated on doing so well, you will go back to Thunder Bluff, where you will speak to Turak Runetotem and finally get your “Cure Poison” skill.

Of course, you’ll have had lots of fun doing this quest, but you may well have found it more enjoyable if you were a Herbalist. Hints like this can be found in a number of World of Warcraft guides, but for the most information to be found in just one package, check out:

Raiding is a key component of the upper level end game mechanics for certain players. Raids are a chance to show up with as many as 40 different players to take on a particularly high level instance or to fight the opposing faction in a massive PvP battle. By working together, you can share everything from loot to experience and quest completion in a Raid Instance. The only way to reach these particular dungeons is to use a raiding group.

Getting Started

While it might take longer to recruit the right amount of people, starting a raiding group is just as simple as gathering a normal party. After you have enough people to take on a raid, you must change your group to a raid group though. There is a simple button that you can push in the Raid menu that allows you to do just this. Every dungeon has a different raid volume maximum so make sure to check first before snagging 40 people and heading to the instance portal.

Completing Quests

While in the midst of a raid party, the only quests you can complete are the special raid quests your party has decided to take on. You cannot kill monsters or collect items for collection quests while in a raid party, nor can any of your companions.

Gaining Experience

Similar to the amount of experience you gain while in a normal party, you get substantially less experience while in a raiding party. While each enemy yields significantly more experience than normal enemies, you are splitting that experience with the rest of your 20 to 40 person party.

Building a Raiding Group

Everything in a raiding party is shared. You have a special talk channel, you share experience and loot and the quest completion goes to everyone, similar to a normal dungeon. However, each raiding party is subdivided into groups of 5. When you join a raiding party, the game will automatically assign you to one of these smaller parties. Only after everyone is situated can the raid leader move people around.

Each of these smaller groups is given their own chat channel as well and you can only see the other four members of your group on your map. Group spells and effects cast by Paladins, Shamans and Warlocks will only extend to the members of your five person group. It’s usually important for a raiding leader to choose members for each of the smaller groups based on what abilities they have to share with the rest of that group.

This World of Warcraft Mining Guide covers the basics of mining in WoW. With the Burning Crusade expansion, mining has become the most important gathering profession in World of Warcraft. Mining was the most useful profession before the expansion because it was the basis for two crafting professions (engineering and blacksmithing) but, with the addition of Jewelcrafting in BC, mining has become even more important.

For this reason, World of Warcraft mining is the best way to earn gold compared to the other gathering professions. Herbs are useful but only to Herbalists while ores and gems are useful to Blacksmiths, Engineers, and Jewelcrafters.

World of Warcraft Mining – The Basics

The obvious first step is to visit a mining trainer and learn mining as a profession. You can do this starting at level 5. Here’s a list of all the mining trainers in WoW:

Horde Trainers:

* Makaru – Located in the center of the Valley of Honor in Orgrimmar.

* Brek Stonehoof – Located on the western edge of the center plateau in Thunder Bluff.

* Brom Killian – Located to the south of the bridge leading to the War

* Quarter in the Undercity.

Alliance Trainers:

* Gelman Stonehand – Located on the western side of the Dwarven District in Stormwind.

* Yarr Hammerstone – Located on the eastern edge of Kharanos in Dun Morogh.

* Dank Drizzlecut – Located slightly north of Gol’Bolar Quarry in Dun Morogh.

* Brock Stoneseeker – Located on the southwest side of Thelsamar in Loch Modan.

* Kurdram Stonehammer – Located in the northern area of Auberdine in Darkshore.

* Matt Johnson – Located in the northern section of Darkshire in Duskwood.

Once you’ve trained mining take a look in your spellbook for the “Find Minerals” and “Smelting” buttons and move them to one of your taskbars. Hit the “Find Minerals” button and your minimap will now show yellow circles on the map whenever you’re near a mineral node.

Next, buy a Mining Pick from the mining supplier who’s usually right next to the mining trainer and head out looking for copper nodes (copper is the simplest ore to mine and the only one you’ll be able to mine at the start.)

After you’ve collected some ore, find a forge and use your “Smelting” ability to turn the copper ore into copper bars. If you’re a Blacksmith or an Engineer you can use the bars to craft items or just put the bars up for auction to make some extra gold.

You’ll notice as you mine copper that your mining skill will increase and after awhile copper nodes will turn gray and no longer give you skill-ups from mining them. At this point you’re ready to move onto the next more difficult type of mineral to mine (I’ll show you a table of the mining skill levels needed for each type of ore later).

As you mine in WoW you’ll also run into level caps for your mining skill that have nothing to do with mineral types. These caps are designed to make you achieve a certain character level before allowing you to buy the next mining rank to move past the cap. Here’s a list of the skill caps for each World of Warcraft mining rank:

Skill Requirement for Each WoW Mining Rank (pre-Burning Crusade)

0 : Apprentice

75 : Journeyman

125 : Expert

200 : Artisan

Most characters in World of Warcraft want to have lots of gold but don’t know how. In this article, I give you a good tip on which professions to choose for an easy way to make gold in World of Warcraft while out questing and grinding.

There are two types of professions available in World of Warcraft; crafting and gathering. Crafting includes professions where you create items, such as blacksmithing, while gathering includes professions like mining, herbalism, and skinning. Crafting professions are the worst because they cost you money rather than make you money. You end up spending money on materials because you are never going to be able to farm all of the mats required to craft the goods you want to wear, or that you need to level up your professions. New recipes, plans, and schematics also cost money on the AH too, unless you are going to go out and find them all. Also, most crafted goods are not very profitable at the AH because so many people can make the same thing you can make. Avoid crafting professions if you want to make money easily, especially when your character is young.

This leaves us with gathering professions. The mats you gather are always in high demand to all of the legions of crafters out there, and some of the high level stuff can really make you rich. Herbalism and Mining tend to be the most profitable, but it is difficult to use both of these because you can only have one tracker on at a time. For this reason, I usually take mining or herbalism plus skinning. This way, when you are out grinding and questing, you can gather mats to sell on the AH and make.

So if you are struggling to make lots of gold, drop your crafting profession and pick up two gathering professions. This is and easy strategy for making gold in World of Warcraft that any player can do, but most don’t.

-The angle

Try taking your picture at different angles to see what you can do with it. Also taking it at different angles can cause different effects with the picture. This might mean causing the main focus to turn into something else.

A whole lot of the expansion revolves around the Lich King and takes place in Northrend. The game is duly anticipated for release sometime in November 2008, while its Beta commenced in July early this year.

The expansion takes us to Northrend, a new continent in Azeroth, most of what is happening in World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich king.

Though new flying mounts will perhaps be introduced, Blizzard suggested along the lines of keeping much of it grounds for players to enjoy lot of what they have learned so far. To minimize the technical difficulties faced at the launch of the burning crusade expansion, players will be allowed to push into the continent from zones that they feel comfortable about. You can move up to level 72 without visiting Borean Tundra or Howling Fjord. Both these zones will usher you into the world of hellfire citadels irrespective of what you are- a level 70 character, a level 80 character, or a raider.

WoW WotLK is also blessed with the Dragonblight, Grizzly hills, the Sholazar basin and others. They make the gaming experience more dramatic and frightful. Reputation grinding, Horde expedition, and the Nexus war are few factions and organization available for the game.

A lot of WoW WotLK tactics and WoW WotLK guides are provided for players to encompass the game better. The ‘heroic dungeon’ design of the burning crusade is kept all along while playing this expansion. Solo dungeons are not being planned though radar attunements based on account or guilds are being considered. Utgarde Keep and Utgarde Pinnacle are playable at level 70 and level 80. The Nexus, Gundrak and the Violet hold are the other star attractions for the game.

World of Warcraft macros allow you to automate certain repetitive or complicated tasks in WoW by binding a series of text commands (those you would normally type in the command window) to a button which will execute the commands when it is pressed.

Covering all the options you have when creating WoW macros would take a small book so instead of boring you with all those details I thought I would use this article to go over the macros that are most helpful for warriors.

First, a few general characteristics of macros themselves.

Using regular World of Warcraft commands in macros works just the same as if you were typing them in the command line. For example, to set up a macro to say “Have at you!” the line in the macro would simply be: /s Have at you!

When writing commands that utilize the WoW user interface like casting a spell or moving items in your bags, commands must be written in the LUA programming language. Don’t worry if you’re not a programmer and don’t know LUA because you don’t need to in order to use this guide, I only mention this because it will help you understand the macros better if you know the difference between a regular WoW command and a LUA command.

All macros are case sensitive and are broken into two parts. The LUA commands should be written in lower case while the WoW function commands usually use a capital letter to begin each word.

For example, if else then and not end are each a LUA command and should always be written in lowercase. CastSpellByName “Spell” is a World of Warcraft function command which you can see because the beginning of each word is capitalized.

/script must always be put at the beginning of a string of commands, unless you are just using WoW in game slash commands. For example, the above Wow function command CastSpellByName “Spell” would actually be written like this: /script CastSpellByName “Spell” as a macro because it isn’t a standard in-game slash command and therefore needs to have /script at the beginning of the sentence.

But, /logout and /laugh are examples of in-game slash commands and do not need /script at the beginning of the sentence.

Putting paragraphs between scripts will seperate the two scripts from each another and they will be recognized as two separate scripts by the game engine. So, if you are using the if command in a script the entire script up through the end command must be in the same sentence. This means you can’t use paragraphs to make the command more readable because the game engine will interpret the new paragraph as the beginning of new command.

; is commonly used as a delimiter between commands and acts like a paragraph in that the sentence after the semi-colon will be interpreted as a new command.

If you are using the if command the if must eventually be followed by the then command and ended by the endif then command in order to be valid. For example, a typical if/then/else command would look like this: if Something is true then Do Something end

Some WoW commands will have empty parentheses () at the end of the command and, even though there’s nothing between the parentheses they must still be included for the command to be valid.

Basic World of Warcraft Macros for Warriors

Two of the most common questions I see from warriors regarding macros is “How do I change my stance” and “How do I change my weapons” so those are the two macros I’m going to go over here. I’ll cover basic and advanced stance commands first then go over changing your weapons using a macro after that.

There are several commands you can use to change your stance as a warrior. I’ll explain the simple commands first then later on I’ll introduce ways to use more advanced commands to gain much more powerful effects.

Changing your stance can either be done by casting a “Spell” (CastSpellByName “Spell”) or by using the function command for changing stances (CastShapeshiftForm()). The CastSpellByName “Spell” command will cast whatever spell is typed between the two quotes (where Spell is currently written). A stance is a Spell as is a charge or an attack. Basically, anything you see in your spell book can be “cast” by using the CastSpellByName”" function.

Here are a few examples:

/script CastSpellByName”Battle Stance” will put you in Battle Stance
/script CastSpellByName”Defensive Stance” will put you in Defensive Stance
/script CastSpellByName”Berserker Stance” will put you in Berserker Stance

You can also use a function command for changing stances. This command does the same thing as the CastSpellByName command but is a little shorter. Because each World of Warcraft macro is limited to 255 characters it’s important to use the shortest command possible to accomplish your goal.

/script CastShapeshiftForm(1) will put you in Battle Stance
/script CastShapeshiftForm(2) will put you in Defensive Stance
/script CastShapeshiftForm(3) will put you in Berserker Stance
